This is the refill for the bokashi bucket. Bokashi is a generic Japanese word for "fermented organic matter". The Bokashi used in our Bokashi Recycling Systems is crushed Australian grain (usually barley, wheat and rice mixture) fermented with our beneficial microbes and molasses. This material has a moderate nutrient value on its own, but is also teeming with billions of beneficial microbes which go straight to work when in contact with organic material, such as the food scraps in the Bokashi bins, or the organic matter within the soil. The microbes work in an anaerobic environment - i.e. with no Oxygen - so they don't produce heat or odours, there is no leachate problem, and no insects or rodents either.5L

FLAT RATE SHIPPING - Pay only $9.95 for shipping Australia wide when ordering products under $100. You also have the option to upgrade to express delivery for $12.95. Bulk items such as Bokashi Bins and Nappies have a flat rate of $12.95. Orders over $100 (not including bulk items) receive free shipping.

Delivery time is only an indicator and may differ based on stock availability (some products may become out of stock and will delay expected delivery time), courier backlogs and other factors.

We aim to process all orders within 12-24 hours. Please Note:

  • All deliveries to PO Boxes must select Australian Air Express (no signature) at checkout.
  • All solar panel orders are delivered by Allied Express as they offer a fragile freight service.
  • The above prices are the base price and are different for each post code and is based on the weight of your products.
  • For next day delivery of products, orders must be placed before 9am (Monday-Friday). This is subject to stock availability, if the product is out of stock delivery may be delayed.
  • If your parcel is returned to Todae as it was not able to be delivered you will be required to pay a re-delivery fee (unless you select Australian Air Express Signature Required).
  • If you would like the couriers to leave your parcel, you can advise us and we will provide the couriers with an 'Authority to Leave' request. Please note that if you parcel is left and stolen/misplaced we cannot replace it. The authority to leave is actioned at your own risk.

Your products will be delivered by your selected courier company. You can provide specific delivery directions for when you are not at home (authority to leave the parcel), avoiding the need to collect your package from the courier depot. Once we send your products you will be emailed a tracking number to follow your parcel.

Delivery is only available in Australia. Discount codes cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer and is not valid on shipping costs.

I've used Bokashi compost for some years and this is the first time I am using Todae's brand of inoculant. I find it just as good as my previous brand and home delivery saves me a drive of almost 400 kms. The 5 litre size is also a plus for country people and I like buying non-perishable supplies in bulk. Good stuff, I recommend it.

Parcel came quickly and was well packaged. Product is excellent. I highly recommend buying 2 bins as you can fill one and let it continue to ferment while starting to fill the other. Am very happy with the Bokashi system - it is neat, unobtrusive and does not smell unpleasant when opened (unless fermentation isn't working). I recommend buying this product from Todae as it is less expensive than buying an official Bokashi branded bin.

Is a great way to handle food scraps and has eliminated the problem of vermin being attracted to the compost heap. I have two bins in constant use and add the broken down material to my compost bin.

Does everything it says. Turns kitchen scraps into compost within a few weeks. However we don't keeping compressing it and keeping it in the kitchen for a month, because it would be far too heavy to carry. We put in layers of scraps and bokashi and empty it about every 5 days into an outdoor compost bin, layered with the contents of the shredder and add a bucket of water.
