What Are Solar REC Carbon Offsets?
|
RECs are basically an investment in renewable energy which are validated by the Office of the Renewable Energy Regulator. Solar REC's are usually generated from Solar Hot Water and Solar Photovoltaic Installations.
RECs contribute to the renewable energy supplied to the electricity grid, which reduces carbon emission. By choosing a Solar REC offset, the equivalent amount of carbon will be removed from the atmosphere through putting solar power into the grid.

What Are The Benefits Of Solar REC's?
|
- Help reduce coal fired electricity entering the electricity grid.
- Contribute to the advancement of the renewable energy industry in Australia.
- Using accredited solar power to offset your emissions is making a real lasting impact.
- You are helping to encourage additional generation of electricity from renewable sources.

How Does The Program Work?
|
Purchasing a Solar REC (Renewable Energy Certificate) Offset subsidises the installation of solar hot water systems and solar panels on houses.
When you purchase a Solar REC Offset you are investing into the renewable energy that above solar system will generate. This then reduces the amount of coal fired electricity in the grid and reduces carbon emissions.
Without Solar REC's many solar systems would not be viable and therefore Solar REC's make a significant contribution to the advancement of the Solar industry.
