The Megaman 11w Compact Fluorescent Down Light uses about 20% of the energy of a halogen downlight while giving you the same light output. These downlights are extremely efficient and will save you energy and money. Low wattage and long hours. These lights do not contain mercury meaning they are much safer than previous lights. The lights are extremely long lasting for 15,000 hours which is 15 times the average light.

Not only will these compact fluoro's last longer but they will help reduce your electricity bill as lighting is one of the biggest contributors to electricity usage. The downlights use only 11W, compared to 60W used by average downlights (50W per globe and 10W for the transformer) which drain power. The lights are designed to fit GU10 fittings, which means they can be easy installed to replace your previous GU10.

These compact fluoro downlights run of mains voltage (240V) rather than the 12V that most Halogen lights require. This means that you save an additional 10W-15W of power as a transformer is not required. It does mean that these globes require a GU10 fitting, used for 240V halogen globes. Please note these globes are not dimmable.
As with all types of Compact Fluorescent Light, these globes turn on instantly, but can take up to 60 seconds to reach full brightness. These globes provide a 180 degree beam spread, which means that light they emit is spread across the entire area they are in, unlike most Halogens that have a 60 degree beam spread. Fittings are available to create a 60 degree beam spread with these lights if required.
