Wooden toys vs plastic toys
- At Todae, we care about the environment and the safety of our children. We believe that toys should be safe for kids to play with and also easy on the environment. Many toys are now made from natural, biodegradable, recyclable and/or recycled materials and sustainable wood and organic cotton or wool. The Anamalz range is designed in Australia and manufactured using organic maple and other non-toxic European materials. Wooden toys are sometimes a safer option as they don’t contain a high level of chemicals and toxins like some plastic toys and are not prone to breaking. .
- Plastic toys however, do have their advantages. They come in all shapes, colours and sizes and some are D.I.Y, so children can put them together themselves. Our D.I.Y Car, Speedboat and House are ‘hands-on’ toys, where the child can learn how solar energy can power some of the things in our everyday lives by putting the toy together themselves. Todae chooses toys that will inspire children to become environmentally conscious and educate them about the beautiful world in which we live.

- It is important to dispose of the toy properly once the child has finished using it but better yet, recycle it! Hand the toy down to a younger sibling; give it to a friend or even give it to a charity, they are educational toys that are beneficial for all young children. Todae has a fun and unique range of wooden and other toys that are safe, eco-friendly and help educate for a sustainable future.
