The Bokashi Two bin Kit is an effective and convenient way to compost your kitchen waste. The Bokashi Bin is suitable for homes and apartments without gardens and it is even better for those homes that do. With the Bokashi Bin, you can compost almost all of the food waste that comes from your kitchen including fruits and vegetables, prepared foods, cooked and uncooked meats and fish, cheese, eggs, bread, coffee grinds, tea bags, wilted flowers and tissues.
Just put your waste into the Bokashi Bucket, sprinkle it lightly with the Bokashi Mix and this wonderful combination of wheat, bran and Effective Micro-Organisms will ferment the waste in the Bokashi Bucket and accelerate the breakdown in the soil. During fermentation, most of the nutrients are saved so the end product is a wonderful renewable resource for your garden and home.
These bins come with a 1kg Bokashi Mix.
Product Description
The two bin kit is the most effective method of composting. It simply works by using one bin until it is full, then using the other bin. When the second bin is full, the first bin is simply sprinkled into your garden as it has had the perfect amount of time for the micro-organisms to work their magic. The first bin is then cleaned out and used again and once the first bin is full, the second bin is ready to be sprinkled onto your garden as fertiliser and used again. The process is simply repeated.
Great for houses and ideal for apartments, the eco-friendly Bokashi Bucket eliminates the smell and unpleasantness associated with putrefaction and decay.
Almost all food scraps are compostable in the Bokashi Bucket including citrus, raw and cooked meat, poultry, fish, vege's, fruit, cheese, bread, coffee grinds, eggs, tea bags, flowers and even tissues.
The bokashi used in our Bukashi Recycling Systems is crushed Australian grain (usually barley, wheat and rice mixture) fermented with our beneficial microbes and molasses. This material has a moderate nutrient value on its own, but is also teeming with billions of beneficial microbes which go straight to work when in contact with organic material, such as the food scraps in the bokashi bins, or the organic matter within the soil.
The microbes work in an anaerobic environment - i.e. with no Oxygen - so they don't produce heat or odours, there is no leachate problem, and no insects or rodents either.

How To Use The Bokashi Bin
Place your waste into the bucket, then sprinkle a hand full of EM Bokashi over the waste.
Repeat this layering process until the Bokashi Bucket is full.
Drain off liquid (Bokashi juice) as necessary.
Once the bucket is full to capacity, the waste can be buried. The waste on the top has not had much or any chance to ferment, even so, the waste will still break down quickly because of the micro-organisms mixed in.
Bokashi Compost will look different to other compost that has decayed. As the food waste does not breakdown or decompose while it is in the bucket, much of its original physical property will remain and it will have a pickled appearance. Breakdown of waste will occur after it has been transferred to the soil.
