This 10 pack 20W Halogens will save you energy and electricity. Not only will these Halogens last longer (over 2-4 times as long) but they will help reduce your electricity bill as lighting is one of the biggest contributors to electricity usage. The Halogen lights are extremely easy to install, simply remove your old halogens and plug in the new ones. This means you can save money on hiring an electrician.

Down Light Description
  • Energy hungry halogen downlights can account for a large portion of your lighting bill and can even interfere with air-conditioning systems due to the amount of heat they put out. Luckily there is an energy efficient alternative!
  • These low energy halogens use just 20 watts, as opposed to the 50 watts of a standard halogen light. For little more than the price of a standard light, you can purchase this energy efficient alternative which will save money on your bill, and last up to five times longer and help you keep your cool!
  • Normal halogen lights turn 80% of the power they use into heat, using only 20% to make light. This means that not only are they consuming vast amounts of energy that does not produce light, they make your air-condition work harder as they heat up the ceiling.
  • Please note, these lights do not give 1:1 replacement light for a 50W Halogen light. They provide about 85-90% of the light output of a 50W Halogen. Please also note the beam spread is 38 degrees as opposed to 60 degrees by most 50W halogens. This means they are very bright directly underneath, but their beam is not as wide.
  • They are suitable for all living areas and work well when used in conjunction with our 3W Luxeon LED Downlights.
