LED Lighting is the most efficient lighting to replace halogen downlights. The Luxeon 3w GU10 LED Down Light is one of the most efficient LED lights on the markets using only 6% of the energy of a 50w halogen. The Luxeon LED Light is suitable to replace 240v halogen downlights.

Product Description:
This LED light bulb provides a warm downlight at minimal energy consumption. Three bright Luxeon LEDs use just one watt of power each, meaning the bulb will last up to an incredible 50,000 hours!

The Luxeon LED down light use less than 6% of the energy (and heat output) of a standard halogen globe. These globes are dimmable and provide light similar to a 20W halogen globe (due to its narrow beam spread the lights are not suitable by themselves for areas where bright light is needed).

The 3W Warm Luxeon LED down light is designed to be a socket drop-in replacement for the traditional GU10 Halogen lamps. It has very similar dimensions to a standard GU10 Halogen downlight and can be used in most conventional applications.

This GU10 LED downlight comprises of 3 high power LED light source, an efficient optical lens and a molded aluminium alloy heatsink main body.

The Luxeon 3W Downlights are a lot brighter than the alternative 3W lights using a single 3W Led and are significantly brighter than the GU10 globes with 36 mini LEDs.

Please note, these lights do not give 1:1 replacement light for a 50W Halogen light. They provide about 50% of the light output of a 50W Halogen. Please also note the beam spread is about 35 degrees as opposed to 60 degrees by most 50W halogens. This means they are very bright directly underneath, but their beam is not as wide. These lights can be used in conjuction with CFL GU10 downlights to provide optimum lighting for household areas such as living rooms.

Please Note: These lights have a very narrow beam spread so they seem dimmer than they actually are. They are best suited for lighting areas like kitchen bench tops and bathroom sinks (where overhead direct light is needed).
