National Solar Schools Program
|
From 1 July 2008, the Federal Government has made an additional $153 million available to schools in Australia for energy and water saving initiatives. Replacing the Green Vouchers for Schools scheme, the $489 million National Solar Schools Program will provide grants of up to $50,000 for schools to implement a wider range of energy efficiency measures.
Your child's school can receive $50,000 worth of solar power. Todae is one of Australia's leading solar power installers and we make it easy for your children's school to become more sustainable.

Is My Children's School Eligible?
|
|  | | All Primary and Secondary Government and Non-government Schools are eligible to apply. Grant amounts claimed through Green Vouchers will be deducted from a school’s entitlement under the new program. In the case of water recycling grants, only the cost of the rainwater tank will be deducted provided the item is listed separately from the installation and other system components. |

How Does The Program Work?
|
To claim under the National Solar Schools Program, schools will need to obtain quotations for all items and services to be included in the grant application. Schools will also need to provide details of planned educational and community activities to promote the use of energy and water in a sustainable way. Projects should commence within 8 to 12 weeks of lodging the claim and should be completed within six months of receiving the funds.

About Todae Eco Schools
|
To assist schools in getting the most from the new National Solar Schools Program, Todae has developed the Eco Schools Program, an initiative designed to make the grant application easy and provide schools with useful tools to help meet their energy and water saving objectives. Once registered, schools will benefit from impartial advice on all sustainable products and services eligible for funding under the National Solar Schools Program. Todae will also assist in completing the grant application free of charge. Schools that successfully apply for funding will receive a series of illustrated books and posters to support curriculum development, basic marketing materials to help schools promote their environmental initiatives and a list of publicly available tools and resources to assist teachers in devising teaching plans on a range of topics.
