Change your Perspective - 1 day a month

After great success and feedback from "The Plastic Diet" we have decided to implement a community based day every month that aims to generate awareness around our actions and get people talking. We have decided to call it the “Todae Monthly Eco-Challenge”

The idea is to have a different challenge every month that only lasts for one day, without being too taxing or compromising, but that will still make a significant difference if everyone gets involved. It will occur on the 1st day of every month to make it easy to remember the date. We would love to get your ideas on what you think may be effective and fun. Please send your ideas to thoughts@todae.com.au

4 Minute Showers for the first week of July!

Winter is well and truly here, and in our never-ending plight to keep warm, a full-bodied shower is a hot contender (pardon the pun). Whilst it might be satisfying, you may be using up to 1400 litres of water a week. And that’s just showering!

If you reduce the length of your shower just to 4 minutes, you could potentially save up to 25,000 litres of water a year which is enough to fill 25 bathtubs! Not only will having a shorter shower save you money, you will also be saving mass amounts of energy from heating less water.

To make sure you are sticking to the 4 minutes, grab one of our shower timers to help you.

For more information on how to grab a shower timer, click here.

We encourage you to do this exercise with friends and family and get them involved as well. This will make it easier, more fun and the more people that do it, the more impact it will have.

We also encourage you to write to us telling about your experience so we can share it with others.

Good luck,

Danin & The Todae Team
